James B. Mollison, past president of the Pierre/Ft. Pierre Rotary Club and current assistant governor, has been a Rotarian since 1999.

 He is a 1958 graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and holds a degree in Geological Engineering.  His early career was with the Humble Oil & Refining Company (now Exxon), where he worked 15 years in the Exploration & Marketing departments. In 1974 Mollison went to Bismarck, ND to be a sales engineer for North Dakota Concrete Products.  In 1980 he was promoted to manage an affiliated Cretex Company, South Dakota Concrete Products in Pierre, SD, which he led for 20 years. Mollison was active in the SD Engineering Society and served a term as state president.  He was inducted into the South Dakota Department of Transportation Hall of Fame in 2004.  In 2006 he and his wife Susan were named “Outstanding Philanthropists ” by the Pierre Area Charitable Organization. 

Jim has four children and ten grandchildren.
